The Scope of Services will include but not limited to all services necessary to all management, supervision, labor, transportation, and equipment necessary to perform site preparation and land clearing, including the establishment of firebreaks, buffers, mulching, and mowing, as described in the Fire Management Plan for the nine burn units of the Oyster Bay Nature Preserve and the two burn units of the Wenzel Wetland Preserve. Site preparation of all burn units shall be completed prior to the initiation of prescribed burns. The duration of this work shall be for 10 months starting upon execution of a contract by both parties, and ending no later than November 1, 2023. Qualified firms are invited to submit. Furthermore, applicable clauses set forth pursuant to 2 C.F.R. Part 200 will be included in all purchase orders, contracts, and agreements. If subcontracts are to be let, through a prime contractor, that contractor is required to take the affirmative steps as detailed in the referenced statutes and furthermore herein. Firms submitting proposals are solely responsible for meeting submittal deadlines. Proposals received after the stated deadline will be deemed non-responsive and will not be considered for any contract awarded as a result of this solicitation. Proposals deemed responsive will be evaluated and an award decision will be made by the City Council. A contract will be awarded to the qualified applicant whose proposal is determined to be the most advantageous to the City of Gulf Shores. However, the City of Gulf Shores reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, to waive any irregularities or informalities in the proposals received.
