The City of Conroe is interested in hiring a firm to lead discretionary funding pursuit and management for a variety of City departments, with an emphasis on transportation, mobility, and infrastructure. This will include monitoring and recommending the pursuit of funding from a variety of state and federal agencies to include, but not limited to: The Economic Development Administration, Environmental Protection Agency, Federal Highway/Transit Administration, Texas Department of Transportation, FEMA, GLO, Texas Parks and Wildlife, Texas Water Development Board, and the Houston-Galveston Area Council. The selected firm should have experience with all of the referenced agencies and be skilled in the development of projects, benefit-cost analysis, and other related items. The City of Conroe will generally not leverage this consultant for the pursuit of Federal Emergency Management Agency or Housing and Urban Development funding. The City will request the selected firm to monitor funding opportunities for all City Departments and to make recommendations for pursuit based on a familiarity with City projects and the merit criteria of the applicable funding opportunity. The awarded consultant will be responsible for monitoring and presenting funding opportunities with the appropriate City staff in a timely manner, assist with application development, duties associated with environmental requirements, and act as the City's liaison with grant funding entities on all correspondence related to submission deadlines, legal postings, and changes/update to the grant program (i.e. additional funds available, new reporting requirements, required documents, etc.).
