The City of Calumet City (the "City") is seeking proposals from qualified sanitation contractors to perform weekly garbage/refuse collection, transportation, and disposal services throughout the city. To be considered, each contractor must submit a complete proposal bid forms, certificate of liability insurance (COI), and any additional information requested in the RFP with their proposal packet. It is the City's intent to evaluate the proposals based on: 1. Operational Capacity, Equipment and Staff 2. Procedures, operation, and mobilization plan 3. Experience in servicing communities of relative size to the City and references 4. Fee The City will choose the Service Provider whose proposal provides the best value to the City. This contract is subject to payment of Prevailing Wages. Each contractor is to submit their bid as indicated in the RFP packet. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality in bidding. Award/Selection by Council - Thursday, December 8, 2022; Start Date - Tuesday, January 3, 2023.
