The project consists of furnishing all material and constructing the following: 422 feet of 12-inch to 30-inch diameter storm sewer replacement including associated curb and gutter, ADA ramp, and asphalt pavement replacement. Including all necessary appurtenances and restoration The work to be performed under this contract will be financed and paid for with local funds. A bid bond, certified check, or cashiers check payable to City of Walker in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total price shall accompany each bid. This surety shall bind the bidder for a period of thirty (30) days after the receipt of bids. It is the intention of the Owner to award this contract to a Bidder that will perform and complete all work in compliance with the Contract Documents and in a workmanlike and professional manner. Bids are therefore only solicited from responsible Bidders known to be skilled, experienced, and regularly engaged in work of similar character and magnitude to that covered by these contract documents. The City reserves the right to exclude any contractor that is not qualified or has an unsatisfactory work history. All work shall be completed on October 13, 2023. Construction of the project shall be completed within 21 calendar days. If the acquisition of essential construction materials impacts the ability of the contractor to complete the work prior to the completion date, the Owner will be flexible in negotiating an alternate mutually agreed upon completion date.
