E-mail: Amanda.Greer@ky.gov PROJECT DESCRIPTION The Commonwealth of Kentucky Finance & Administration Cabinet, Division of Engineering and Contract Administration (DECA) on behalf of the Kentucky Community and Technical College System is seeking professional design services for the total roof system replacement and/ or Repairs on seven buildings on various campuses of the Big Sandy Community and Technical College. Work of this project includes but is not limited to: o Big Sandy Community and Technical College's Hager Hill Building, Building E, and Prestonsburg Student Services Center: Roof Replacement o Pikeville Regional Technical Building: Roofing system replacement/repairs and repairs to skylights and dome o Johnson Building: Metal roofing system replacement/repair o Planetarium Building: Repair dome flashing Roof replacement and/or repair needs are extensive. The various roof systems to be replaced are nearing or past the typical life cycle and are beginning to show significant wear and tear that is beyond the ability of local maintenance staff to upkeep. The various roofing repairs included are significant and targeted at remedying significant roofing issues at these locations. The Consultant will be required to monitor the current roofing market and to advise KCTCS on the appropriate time to bid the projects to mitigate negative affects of market conditions. The separate roofs may be included in one bid package if that is an advantage to this combination or as separate bid packages if this separation is identified as most favorable.
