This Request for Proposal scope of work includes replacement of various process equipment and systems at the Water Pollution Control Facility at 210 Municipal Road, Waterbury, Connecticut. Equipment slated for removal and replacement are including but not necessarily limited to the following: Three Primary Sludge Pumps and two associated Grinders in the Primary Sludge PS. Three single stage Centrifugal Process Air Blowers and all associated appurtenances. The UV Disinfection Equipment at the Chemical Building. Secondary Clarifiers No. 1 - 6 Mechanisms and all associated appurtenances. The Successful Proposer shall substantially complete all work and services required under this contract within Seven Hundred Thirty (730) consecutive calendar days of the City's written Notice to Proceed and shall reach final completion within Eight Hundred (800) consecutive calendar days of the City's written Notice to Proceed, and in accordance with the Project Milestone (all collectively hereinafter referred to as "Contract Time"): Project Milestone No. 1: The Contractor shall reach final completion of all construction work in accordance with the plans and specifications required under this contract and correct any deficiencies identified by the Project Engineer within Seven Hundred SixtyFive (765) consecutive calendar days of the City's Notice to Proceed. All questions and communications about this request for Proposal and submission requirements must be directed to the City of Waterbury and must be received by 2:00 PM on November 09, 2022. Prospective proposers must limit their contact regarding this RFP to the Purchasing Director or such other person otherwise designated by the Purchasing Director. Responses to questions submitted by the above date or identified at any Information Session to be held in regard to this RFP, along with any changes or amendments to this RFP, will be available via the City of Waterbury by November 15, 2022, 2:00 PM. The City reserves the right to award in part, to reject any and all proposals in whole or in part for misrepresentation or if the proposer is in default of any prior City contract, or if the proposal limits or modifies any of the terms and conditions and/or specifications of the RFP. The City also reserves the right to waive technical defects, irregularities and omissions if, in its judgment, the best interest of the City will be served.
