Question Deadline 11/08/2022 at 2:00 PM PT Online Q&A Yes Project Duration Three (3) years, plus two (2) additional one (1) year periods The City of Santa Ana (City) is seeking proposals from qualified firms (Proposers) for the development of affordable housing for homeless transitional age youth in the City. Proposed developments may be for rehabilitation of eligible properties for rental housing; conversion of nonresidential property to multifamily housing units; and/or new construction of housing units for rental housing. A portion of the units must be designated for youth-specific homeless programs and services, with a focus on homeless Transitional Age Youth (TAY) aged 18 to 24 years old. The successful Developer should be experienced, very knowledgeable of affordable housing programs and its requirements, financially creative and capable of developing, managing and maintaining high quality housing. The City does not require that 100% of the units in the project serve homeless transitional age youth. The required number of units must be greater than the same calculation used for the HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME) Program cost-allocation methodology for HOME assisted-units in a similar project. In addition to the above electronic submission instructions, one USB flash drive containing a copy of the complete proposal packet and five (5) hard copies must also be submitted. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
