In general, the selected consultant is expected to develop plans, specifications, and estimates (PS&E) for the above referenced project. The scope of work may include the following: Add a median refuge island Re-channelize Slater Avenue NE-132nd Avenue NE to include two southbound lanes, one northbound lane and bikes lanes Add a HAWK signal at the CKC crossing Connect the HAWK signal to City's central traffic system via fiber optic cable Evaluate need for lighting improvements around crossing Remove remnants of abandoned rail crossing SEPA documentation Critical Area Report for SAR permit Geotech analysis including Phase II environmental assessment for contaminated soils Executive Order 21-02 Report Inadvertent discovery Plan Surface Water TIR Initial Bid Item list ROW / Easement Property Acquisition (east side of roadway) LSM Permit Electrical Permit Lighting Analysis Report HPA Permit Optional construction management services Design is to start in January, 2023. The project is intended to be constructed in the summer of 2023. The total project cost has been estimated at $3,253,000.00. The City is currently seeking funding for this project.
