Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Cambridge, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and water / sewer project.

A new 57.33' x 40' x 14' (ceiling height) Water Treatment Building with cast-in-place concrete foundation, masonry walls with insulation, brick veneer and prefinished engineered wood siding and cast stone sills, wood frame roof with wood sheathing and metal shingles, metal fascia and soffit, wood sheathing and gypsum board ceiling; FRP doors and frames; louvers; aluminium windows, and wood cabinetry; plumbing, HVAC, painting, and electrical work; mechanical piping, valves and appurtenances, process instrumentation and controls, standby generator and automatic transfer switch. Water Treatment Equipment including 10' diameter x 22' long horizontal pressure filter, three (3) 7' diameter cation exchange softening vessels, 10' diameter fiberglass brine makeup tank, brine pump skid, air wash blower, and three (3) liquid chemical feed systems. Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system improvements at nine (9) sites. Improvements to the existing 24' x 18' x 10' (ceiling height) wood-framed Well house #3 Building, including insulation, prefinished engineered wood siding, and metal shingles over the existing wood sheathing; metal fascia and soffit FRP doors and frames; skylight; plumbing, HVAC, painting, and electrical improvements, concrete pump base modifications, modifications to existing cast-in-place concrete pump base, removal and replacement of the existing vertical turbine well pump, column pipe, motor, and above-grade well discharge pipe and appurtenances. Site work including water main, valves, hydrants, and water service, drain piping, two (2) 15,000-gallon buried precast concrete detention tanks, 361 l.f. of 1.25-inch low pressure sewer main, clearing & grubbing, site grading, backfill, aggregate base course and asphalt pavement for driveways and parking areas, erosion control, site restoration and plantings. Kenseth Wastewater Pump Station electrical/control improvements. All work shall be awarded under a single contract. Additional Description: No proposal will be accepted unless accompanied by a certified check or bid bond equal to at least 5% of the amount bid, payable to the OWNER as a guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract and bond within 15 days after the award of the contract. BIDDER is required to deliver the original certified check or bid bond within the 72 hours of bid opening to MSA Professional Services, Inc., Attn: Daniel F Greve, P.E., 1230 South Boulevard, Baraboo, WI 53913. The certified check or bid bond will be returned to the bidder as soon as the contract is signed, and if after 15 days the bidder shall fail to do so, the certified check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the OWNER as liquidated damages. No bid may be withdrawn within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The minimum wages to be paid on the project shall be in accordance with Federal Davis Bacon Wage Rates. Federal wage rates can be found at website. Be aware that project Administrators, Bidders, and Contractors are required to use the latest federal wage rate available at the time of bid opening. This project anticipates use of Wisconsin DNR Safe Drinking Water Loan Program. We encourage Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs), including Minority-owned Business Enterprises (MBEs), and Women's Business Enterprises (WBEs) to submit bid proposals. A municipality, in awarding prime contracts, and the primary engineer and primary contractor, in awarding subcontractors, are required to make a good faith effort to achieve a combined minimum goal of 15% participation for MBE/WBE utilization in accordance with s.NR 162.09(3), s.NR 166.12(4), and s.NR 167.18(4) Wis. Admin. Code. If a subcontractor awards subcontracts, these requirements shall apply to the subcontractor. The Contractor shall conform to the "Use of American Iron and Steel" provision of H.R. 3547 Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2014, section 436, including all iron and steel products used in the project. Bid Proposals may be denied if the requirements of this section are not met and waivers are required.
