The general works are expected to include, but are not limited to: 10th Street from Poulton Avenue to Butler Avenue Installation of approximately 185 m of PVC watermain (150 mm and 200 mm) within the downtown including: Tie ins to existing water mains Tie in existing businesses and residents to new water services (approximately 9 services) Abandonment of existing asbestos cement water main located to the south of the new watermain Removal of existing and installation of new catch basins and drainage piping to suit new road layout and grading Isolated repairs of the 200 mm asbestos cement sanitary sewer that is located approximately along the center of the road Removal, disposal and replacement of existing street light infrastructure, and installation of new street lighting including ornamental poles and string lights Removal, disposal and replacement of roadway, sidewalks and landscape features. Installation of new concrete curb, gutter and sidewalks including sawcut joints, sandblasted patterns, and coloured and stamped sections Asphalt paving Installation of trees (some including underground soil cells), plantings, and decorative landscape features Installation of new street furniture Road markings including decorative markings Copeland Avenue between 10th Street and Highway 16 Installation of new PVC watermain including tie ins at Highway 16 and 10th Street Widening of the road to include a dedicated right turn lane Concrete sidewalk installation Asphalt paving Street light relocation Road markings Highway 16 Sidewalk and Storm Extension from Poulton Avenue to Butler Avenue Installation of approximately 150 m of concrete sidewalk, curb and gutter along the south side of Highway 16 Installation of PVC storm sewer and catch basins along the new curb and gutter Documents can be obtained from www.bcbid.gov.bc.ca
