Corrigan Construction was selected to do the security renovations. They are supposed to start sometime in March. The Branch Intermediate School District is seeking sealed bids from General Contractor bidders for Security vestibule renovations at the Administration building, Branch Area Careers Center, and Waldron Learning Center. Construction: January 1, 2023 to June 30, 2023 The construction is funded by the fiscal year 2022 Competitive School Safety Grant Program, awarded by the State of Michigan and administered by the Michigan State Police (MSP) and has to be completed by June 30, 2023. The bids need to be priced per each site for accounting purposes, but the contract will be for all three sites. State plan review BCC and BFS are paid by the school and are not to be included in the bidding. The cost of trade permits is to be included in bidding. As required by State Law (P.A. 232 of 2004), all bids shall be accompanied by a sworn and notarized statement disclosing any familial relationship that exists between Branch Intermediate School District or any employee of the bidder and any member of the school board or the superintendent of the school district. Bids that do not include this sworn and notarized disclosure statement will not be accepted. Also, as pursuant to Michigan law (P.A. 517 of 2012), before accepting any bid or proposal, or entering into any contract for goods or services with any prospective vendor, the vendor must first certify that it is not an "Iran Linked Business" as defined by law. Wages for this project, ARE NOT, subject to the federal prevailing wage law. The Branch Intermediate School District is a smoke-free zone, therefore, no smoking is allowed in buildings or on the grounds. No bidder may withdraw their bid for a period of 30 days after the date set for the opening thereof, and all bids shall be subject to acceptance by the owner during this period. Please provide an estimated construction timeline including start date. Also, please include as a component of the bid, a breakdown of costs by prime sub-contractors. The Branch Intermediate School District reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, alternates, or proposals.
