Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Shawnee, Kansas. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The Project provides for the removal and replacement of approximately 1,100 linear feet of pipe ranging in size from 15" to 48", removal and replacement of fourteen (14) storm structures (inlets, junction boxes, etc.) and associated site restoration. The Project also includes the in-place lining of approximately 1,950 linear feet of storm sewer pipe ranging in size from 15" to 48". The repairs are to be made at twenty-one (21) separate locations within the city with potential for additional work through alternate bid locations. Construction will also include surface restoration including concrete curb and gutter, concrete sidewalk, concrete inlet tops, street repair, sod, and other items. The city intends to extend the proposed agreement and contract with the successful low bidder for a period of one (1) year following the notice to proceed. During this time period, the Contractor will serve as the city's on-call contractor to assist with repair and construction of emergency storm sewer failures or rehabilitation throughout the city. The unit prices for the proposed project will be extended at the same pricing for all future work, with the exception of "Mobilization, Traffic Control and Sitework" which will be negotiated with the contractor at a lump sum price and be dependent on the specific site to be repaired at each location. Unit prices for items not outlined in the base contract that may occur on an added location will be negotiated with the contractor on a case-by-case basis for each new location, at which point the unit price for that specific added item will be considered the unit price for future sites. This project will only be available for download and bidding online and there will be no public opening of online bid documents. The email address registered with e-Builder must be a monitored email. No pre-bid meeting will be held for this project. Each Bidder shall upload and/or file with their bid a cashier's check, certified check, or bid bond drawn on an acceptable bank in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid. Bid Bonds will be returned to the unsuccessful bidders, with the exception of the second qualifying bidder, at such time as their bids are rejected. All bidders shall verify that they have considered all issued addenda. Any addenda issued during the time of bidding shall be covered and included in the bid. There will be no clarifications or exceptions allowed on the Bid. Bids are for a total bid package, and total contract price. Each bid shall be made on a proposal form included with the bid documents. Bids shall be submitted online as indicated on the e-Builder website. An officer of the firm making such proposal shall properly execute all proposal forms. Bids received after the time and date above specified shall not be considered.
