West Jackson County Utility District will be accepting qualification statements for engineering services for PHASE 5 - SRF PROJECT from the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ). Scope of work generally includes sewage pumping stations, pressure force mains, gravity sewer lines and sewer system rehabilitation. Engineering services shall include providing program management, surveying, maps, plats, engineering design, bidding, contract administration, construction observation services and contract closeout documents including field survey verification of construction and preparation of as-built drawings. Criteria for engineer selection shall be based upon the following: Qualifications Criteria Description of Criteria Weight Knowledge Evidence of specialized training and education required for engineering design and construction of a public sanitary sewer 20% Ability to Serve Demonstrate the availability of resources necessary to meet the project schedule required by the Owner for funding 20% Experience Evidence of sufficient professional engineering experience with similar sanitary sewer projects including experience with similarly funded projects 20% Past Performance Prior experience with West Jackson County Utility District 20% Communication Ability to communicate in a timely and thorough manner 15% References Provide three or more references from previous clients for whom similar projects have been completed 5% Three engineers will be selected for interview from the qualification statements received. Upon completing the interview process, contract negotiations will proceed with the most highly qualified engineer. In the event that a contract cannot be negotiated with the most highly qualified firm, negotiations will continue in order of qualification.
