The City of Oconomowoc is seeking bids for the replacement of the front exterior railings on the west stairs and handicap ramp at the Oconomowoc Community Center (220 W. Wisconsin Avenue, Oconomowoc) including design, product, removal, and disposal of the old railings, and installation of aluminum replacement railings. The City reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, waive any informality & accept the Bid that serves the best interest of the City. The following scope of services is for design/construction of new aluminum railing, removal and disposal of the existing railings, installation of the new railings and any patching and concrete repair as necessary. The tasks listed below will be completed in the order in which they are written. - Meet with City staff to discuss the design expectations for the railings to ensure they meet ADA specifications and Construction Codes. - Selected company will determine estimated costs for the design and construction of the new railings, removal and disposal of existing railings, installation of the new railings and concrete patching and repair. - Shop drawings will be provided for approval prior to fabrication. - Approximately 192 linear ft. of railing. Exact measurements should be taken. - Materials to match the following specifications: Posts: 2x1" Bars 6061T6511 Aluminum Bottom and Mid Rail: 1/2x2" Bars 6061T6511 Aluminum Tube: 3x1.5x11ga tube 6063-T52 Aluminum Cable: 3/16" type 316 stainless steel Cable Fittings: Seco South #553-3/16-5/16 Handrails: 1 1/4 " sch 40 type 316 stainless steel Finish to meet the following specifications: Aluminum: Brush Blasted and Powder Coated Stainless: #4 satin circumferential finish - No substitutions to materials will be allowed - Remove and dispose of existing railings to be replaced. - Provide and install new railing to match the existing railing. - Concrete patch and repair - Once project is complete, a final review meeting will be coordinated City Staff to ensure the railings meet the specifications.
