FireStation No. 4 Sanitary Sewer Project.This project consists of extending the 10" sanitary sewer line approximately 1650' from themanhole that was constructed to serve the hotel on Outlet Blvd. to the southeast side of theproposed fire station property. It is the sole responsibility of the bidder to ensure that his bid is actually in the Texas CityPublic Works Purchasing office prior to the expiration of the time and date above first written. Bid security in the amount of five (5) percentof the greatest amount bid must accompanyeach bid. It shall be each bidder's sole responsibility toinspect the site of the work and to inform himself regarding all local conditions under whichthe work is to be done. It shall be understoodand agreed that all such factors have beenthoroughly investigated and considered in thepreparation of the bid submitted. The Contractor and all Subcontractors for thisproject will be required to pay not less than theprevailing wage rates for the area of the project as required in the contract documents. Upon consideration of the proposals the CityCommission plans to award a Contract; however the Owner reserves the right to reject anyand all bids, to waive any and all formalitiesand technicalities, and to accept any bidwhich it deems advantageous to the owner.Each bidder agrees to waive any claim it hasor may have against the Owner, the Engineer,and their respective employees, arising out ofor in connection with the administration, evaluation or recommendation of any bid. Thesuccessful bidder will be required to furnish aperformance bond and payment bond in anamount of 100% of the total contract price. Completion- 75 calendar days
