Renovation of a water / sewer project in Saint Jacob, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
Sealed bids should be labeled " WWTP Sand Filter Replacement" on the outside of the envelope. The proposed work consists of removal of the existing sand filter components and constructing a new sand filter at the Village waste water treatment plant. Bids that are furnished by mail shall be addressed to the Village Clerk, Village Hall, 213 N. Douglas St., P.O. Box 97, St. Jacob, Illinois 62281. A non-refundable charge of $10.00 to cover the cost of postage is required for those contractors who wish to have a packet mailed to them. Digital copies of the plans and specifications may be obtained at no cost upon Engineer's receipt of a completed request/release form provided by Engineer. No bidder may withdraw his bid within ninety (90) days of the scheduled time of closing bids. All bids must be made on forms furnished by the Village of St. Jacob, Illinois. The successful bidder will be required to execute and present performance and payment bonds in a sum equal to the full amount of the contract. Bids must be for the contract as a whole. Illinois law requires that contractors pay the prevailing wage rates as determined by the Department of Labor. The Village of St. Jacob reserves the right to waive, or not to waive, any irregularities in the bids and to reject any or all bids and to determine which is the lowest and best bid.
