The work to be performed under this contract shall include but is not limited to: Removal of existing emergency generator, (2) existing ATS, and fire alarm control panel within electrical room of building. All circuits shown to be removed shall be cut back and safed off at the existing panel-board source. Provide new diesel-fired emergency generator with a sub-base tank and weatherproof/sound attenuated enclosure, ancillary components, remote stop, and remote annunciator. Additionally, provisions for a new ATS, new outdoor main distribution board, and intercepting feeders to the existing utility transformer and the building. Replace existing fire alarm system, provide complete integration with fire pump equipment and emergency generator, provide all programming and testing required. Provide all other work required to complete the project work as indicated in the contract document or that can be inferred therefrom. Clearly marked on the outside with the contract name and number, bearing the name and address of the bidder on the outside. The Somerset County Purchasing Division is maintaining Social Distancing; therefore, it is encouraged to Mail in your bid responses in a timely manner via USPS, UPS, or FedEx, etc. If they must be hand-delivered, potential bidders may drop them off at the Main Entrance of the County Administration Building, 20 Grove Street, Somerville, New Jersey 08876 and a Sheriff's Officer will contact the Purchasing Division to receive the responses. A bid review providing unit prices will not take place at the openings. Instead, this information will be posted, as always to the Purchasing webpage once available. Bidder shall submit with the bid a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total price bid, but not in excess of $20,000.00, payable unconditionally to Somerset County Treasurer, along with a Certificate (Consent of Surety) with Power of Attorney for full amount of bid price from a Surety Company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey and that said Surety will furnish a Performance and Payment Bond in amounts of 100% of successful bidder's contract.
