PROJECT LOCATION: This Project is located at the following 3 locations in Seattle, WA: Yale Ave N and Fairview Ave N (Pump Station 62); E Blaine St and Eastlake Ave E (Pump Station 63), and; SW 98th St and 51st Ave SW (Pump Station 71). PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This Project will remove and replace existing mechanical, electrical, and structural features at 3 wastewater pump stations. The Work will require bypassing of wastewater flow' throughout, construction. The exact, scope varies for each site but. generally includes the following bodies of work: 1. Establishment of temporary sewer bypass. 2. Replacement of existing electrical service cabinet, conduit, and conductors. 3. Demolition of existing site features, structural elements, electrical elements, and mechanical equipment. 4. Dewatering at PS 62 and 71. 5. Handling and disposal of contaminated soil and process water at PS 63. 6. Installation of new structural elements including hatches, beams, gratings, and guardrails. 7. Installation of new electrical service and power equipment, including motor starters. 8. Installation of new mechanical equipment, including pumps, valves, process piping, HVAC, and odor control. 9. Installation of new instrumentation including wastewater flow meters. 10. Installation oflandscaping, and decorative site features. 11. Restoration of existing landscaping and site features. 12. Post-construction testing and commissioning. 13. Landscape and Lawn Establishment. at PS 62; Landscape Establishment at PS 71.. This Project is a Covered Project subject to the City of Seattle's Community Workforce Agreement (CWA) and Priority Hire SMC 20.37. With the support of the mayor and City Council, the City of Seattle administers programs that support racial and economic equity through contracting. Priority Hire is one of these programs. Priority Hire provides people living in economically distressed communities, women, and people of color access to work on the city's construction projects. It gives contractors access to these skilled workers No Bid will be accepted from any Bidder who does not attend at. least, one ofthe mandatory pre-bid site inspections. Please note that the prebid site inspection will start at Pump Station 63, and then the group will move to Pump Station 62.
