As of August 20, 2024, an engineer has been selected for the project. Construction is estimated to take place in Q1 of 2027. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The Port of Long Beach (POLB) Engineering Services Bureau invites the submittal of a written Proposal from qualified professional Engineering Consultants (Consultants) interested in providing professional engineering services for the Pier A Pump Station W-028 Rehabilitation Project (Project); to perform the site investigation; to complete further assessment and evaluation of the facility condition using the Technical Memo (TM) dated December 8, 2020, prepared by Cannon, Inc. (included in Attachment D of this Request for Proposal); update the project alternatives to be incorporated into an Alternative Analysis Report and Basis of Design (BOD) Report; substantiate the preferred alternative as recommended and updated by the Task Manager/POLB; provide design, development, and preparation of Plans, Specifications, and Engineer Opinion of Probable Construction Cost (PS&E) for the rehabilitation and proposed improvements of the facility; and assist POLB with bidding, construction, and close out phase services. As of October 31, 2022, the due date and time has been confirmed with the owner.
