A detailed scope has not yet been released. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The City of Lorain ("City") is requesting qualifications from professional services firms ("Firm") for engineering design services related to the PQM WWTP Generator Complex. The selected engineer shall provide engineer's estimate, permitting, and develop detailed plans and specifications for upgrading and/or replacing the existing generator(s) to handle all current and future needs in cases of emergency use. The existing generator(s) have met their original design lifespan and are in need of upgrading. Statements of qualifications should include information regarding the firm's history; education and experience of owners and key technical personnel; the technical expertise of the firm's current staff; the firm's experience in designing similar projects; project cost containment, availability of staff; the firm's equipment and facilities; project approach, references; and any previous work performed for The City of Lorain. As required by Ohio Revised Code 153.65-71, responding firms will be evaluated and ranked in order of their qualifications. Following this evaluation, The City of Lorain will enter into contract negotiations with the most highly qualified firm. As of December 14, 2022, an issuance of short-list of firms has not been released. The design firm selection timeline has not been disclosed.
