Renovation of a power facility in Ames, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a power facility.
The general nature of the work on which bids are requested is replacement of three roofs in various places at the power plant. Completion of the project is to be expected no later than December 30, 2024. Question Deadline 01/31/2024 at 5:00 PM CT Said questions may be sent via e-mail to amanda.moore@cityofames.org or mailed or delivered to the Purchasing Division at 515 Clark Avenue, Ames, IA 50010. Each bidder shall accompany its bid with bid security as defined in Code of Iowa Section 26.8 and as specified in the Instructions to Bidders. Said bid security shall be based on an amount equal to at least 5% of the bid amount. Each successful bidder shall be required to furnish a corporate surety bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of its contract price. The City of Ames reserves the right to defer acceptance of any bid for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days after receipt of bids, and no bid may be withdrawn during this period.
