Renovation of a detention facility in Madison, Maine. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.

Scope of Work to be performed at 131 East Madison Rd., Madison, ME A. Remove and dispose of failed PVI water maker, including any encountered hazardous materials. B. Install four (4) Turbomax 109A instantaneous water makers with pumps, controls, piping and valves to connect to existing system. C. Each Turbomax water maker must meet the following specifications: 1. Tank volume of 110 gallons 2. Meet ASME requitements. 3. Heats water only when needed to reduce energy consumption. 4. Heat transfer efficiency reaching 99% 5. At 500,000 BTU input must produce 970 gallons the first hour, and 859 gallons continuous output. 6. The units must be able to pass through a 66"(w)x82"(h) doorway. D. Procurement of all equipment and materials E. Contractor shall be responsible for safety precautions, permits, notifications and designing of all required equipment. F. Contractor shall update existing schematics to include new, additional controls if applicable. G. Pre-commissioning, commissioning, and performance testing. H. Warranty the complete installation for a period of 24 months following successful commissioning and acceptance by the County. Contractor shall be responsible for design, procurement, surveying, planning, scheduling, estimating, expediting, inspection, quality assurance, quality control, management, administration, supervision, labor, construction, calibration, pressure testing, checking, flushing, pre-commissioning, start-up, and training services, as required for successful project execution and completion The Project will be awarded before the conclusion of the Commissioner's Meeting, November 16, 2022. Pursuant to MRSA Title 14 871 (3), if the contracted amount is over $100,000, the contractor is required to furnish a progressive payment and performance bond satisfactory to Somerset county in the sum of 100% of the contract price. The County Commissioners are authorized to set reasonable standards to insure the best interest of Somerset County. The Somerset County Commissioners reserve the right to accept or reject any and all bid proposals deemed to be in the best interests of Somerset County.
