The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston ("UTMB" or "Owner") is soliciting statements of qualifications ("Qualifications") and cost Proposals for selection of Construction Manager at Risk (CMR) for League City Hospital Expansion Phase 3 ("Project") to be performed in accordance with the terms, conditions, and requirements set forth in this Request for Qualifications. This Request for Qualifications ("RFQ") and Request for Proposals is a two-step process for selecting a CMR. The RFQ provides the information necessary to prepare and submit Qualifications for consideration as well as a pricing sheet for pre-construction costs. This will allow initial ranking by the Owner. Based on the initial ranking, the Owner may select up to Three (3) of the top ranked qualified respondents to attend Interviews in the final step of the process. In the final step of the process, Interviews, the "most" qualified respondents may be requested to attend an interview with the Owner to confirm the Qualification submittal and answer additional questions. The Owner will then rank the remaining respondents to determine a "best value" based on qualifications and cost proposed. UTMB is seeking Statement for Qualifications and Cost Proposal for a Construction Manager at Risk for this expansion. UTMB is currently undertaking programming of this hospital expansion and CUP with an architectural team. Consistent with the institution's System-wide Facilities Master Plan, University of Texas Medical Branch intends to expand the existing hospital on their League City Campus to support their current and future operations and patient volumes. The expansion is anticipated to include the following: Horizontal and vertical expansion of the existing hospital building of approximately 350,000 sq.ft. Departments included in this expansion, but not limited to, are inpatient services, diagnostic and treatment services, logistical services, and administrative spaces. Renovation within the existing building to accommodate modifications required due to the expansion of approximately 50,000 sq.ft. A new CUP (Central Utility Plant) to support this hospital expansion as well as future campus expansions.
