Purpose of Procurement Pursuant to the State Purchasing Act (Official Code of Georgia Annotated 50-5-50 et seq.), this electronic Request for Proposals (eRFP) is being issued to establish a contract with a qualified supplier who will provide strategic planning consulting for the development of a strategic plan for the College of Law at Georgia State University as further described in this eRFP. The estimated project date is December 2022 - September 2023. INTRODUCTION/GENERAL OVERVIEW: The College of Law at Georgia State University is in the process of completing the American Bar Associations (ABA) required self-assessment as part of its formal, law school accreditation process. The timing of the ABA Self-Study coincides with the development of the College of Laws (COL) strategic plan, and the faculty and staff have convened a 2-year committee to work on both projects contemporaneously. In light of the fact that the University is also engaged in strategic planning, the COL is prepared to begin its formal planning processes in the spring of 2023, after the completion of the Universitys plan. To that end, we are seeking an experienced consulting service to provide strategic planning support, in a law school context, and with experience working within or adjacent to ABA Self-Study processes. To accomplish these specific priorities, it is imperative that the consultants have prior and recent successes with similarly situated, public law schools in the areas of faculty and staff engagement, navigating national law school trends altered by the pandemic, enhancing student engagement, and navigating the challenges and opportunities presented by a new administration. The College of Law has several existing evaluations (e.g., the university staff climate survey, the COACHE survey, the last ABA self-study, the academic program review, President Blakes 5 strategic pillars, and the results of an August 2022 faculty/staff retreat) that will inform essential components for the development of the COLs institutional priorities, strengths, and areas for growth.
