In 2017 the Facilities department contracted with Engineering Ventures to investigate the cause of cracking at the rear of City Hall. During this investigation several other areas were identified as needing to be addressed. It was determined that the proper way to proceed would require investigating the Town Brook, which flows under City Hall. With City Council approval, the Facilities department and Public Works engineering department proceeded with an investigation, utilizing Dubois and King as a consultant to develop a solution. This investigation and a plan to remedy the issues are ongoing; however, we anticipate a working plan to be available later this fiscal year. At this time, costs associated with repairs are estimates based on verbal discussions in 2017. Actual costs will be presented to Council prior to moving forward with any repairs. This project is in included in the City of Keene FY 2023-2029 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). As of October 31, 2022, further details regarding design and construction have not been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
