Renovation of a fire / police facility in Niagara on the Lake, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.
The Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake seeks to enter into a contract with a qualified Vendor to provide both fire station 2 (St.Davids) and fire station 4 (Queenston) with a diesel exhaust removal system. The exhaust removal system shall be a source capture, fully automatic, removal that addresses the problem of diesel/gas fumes in the fire station and does not interfere with normal day-to-day operation or vehicles and ensure the air quality meets both Occupational Health & Safety Act (OHSA) and other industry best practices of OSHA and The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) standards. The system must be designed to evacuate diesel/gas fumes through a filtration system. The system shall not affect the personnel boarding the apparatus.
