THE PROJECT WILL PROVIDE AN ADDITIONAL EASTBOUND THROUGH LANE TO COMPLETE THE FOUR LANE CORRIDOR FROM BABCOCK ROAD TO POWERS BLVD. THE PROJECT WILL INSTALL ASPHALT, CURB AND GUTTER, AND RESOLVE UTILITY CONFLICTS Estimated Project Magnitude: $250,000.00 - $500,000.00 he City of Colorado Springs is proposing to widen Galley Road from Babcock Road to the bridge over Sand Creek. The purpose of the project is to provide an additional eastbound lane in this segment to complete the four lane configuration on Galley Road from Babcock Road to Powers Boulevard. The work will occur on the south side of Galley Road between the existing pavement and the sidewalk. The Project work generally consists of saw cutting and removal of portions of the existing asphalt and concrete, placement of curb and gutter, construction of approximately 1,000 ft of pavement structure on a prepared subgrade, and re-striping the roadway for the new lane configuration. The plans and specifications provide the detailed requirements for construction.
