The Work consists generally of the following: Henry Elementary requirements: Grind approximately 21,115 SF to depth of 2" in preparation for new asphalt overlay. Sweep, clean and haul off grindings. Apply tack and machine pave of hot mix asphalt, roll and compact. Clean loose debris and apply one coat of seal coat after new asphalt paving has cured. Re-stripe playground with standard water-based striping paint to original layout, to include 7 each four square courts, 3 each hopscotch layouts, 3 each nine square courts, 4 each tetherball courts and 1 each large circle. Poles at Henry remain. Myers Elementary Requirements: Grind approximately 28,375 SF to a depth of 2" in preparation for new asphalt overlay. Sweep, clean and haul off grindings. Apply tack and machine pave with 2" of hot ix asphalt, roll and compact. Clean loose debris and apply one coat of seal coat after new asphalt paving has cured. Re-strip playground with standard water-based striping paint to original layout which includes 11 each four square courts, 3 each nine square courts, 2 each small circles, 1 each large circle and 6 each hopscotch layouts. Upper area only. Access will be southwest gate grass area. Tables and cargo container will be moved by District. Electronic Bidding and Video-Conference Bid Opening. If the District establishes a process for bidders to submit bids electronically: (i) the District shall liberally interpret the foregoing Instructions for Bidders to effectuate their intended purposes; (ii) documents that require an original signature on behalf of the bidder may be scanned and submitted electronically; (iii) bids may be withdrawn or superseded electronically; and (iv) the bidding process otherwise shall conform to instructions provided by the District. Regardless of whether the District implements an electronic bidding process, the District may open bids at any time subsequent to the Bid Deadline and may require that interested bidders view the bid opening through video conferencing, rather than being physically present for the bid opening.
