Renovation of a museum in San Felipe, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a museum.

The Texas Historical Commission (THC) issues this Invitation for Bid (IFB) to solicit bids from qualified licensed electricians to install outdoor lighting fixtures at the map plaza at San Felipe de Austin State Historic Site. The scope of work is described below. Labor and material to replace 29 existing pendent fixtures with new Meteor Illumination Tech VA6-STD-50-308-UNV-STV-BLK-OUT fixtures or equal. Bidders must provide documentation that proposed light fixtures are equal. Existing stems to be used for mounting. Provide and install 1 Lutron pico LED dimming switch to dim and control lighting. Provide lift equipment needed to install the light fixtures. Provide material to cover and protect flooring during installation of the light fixtures. Bid must include all equipment and labor necessary to complete the project as described. Deadline for Submissions of Questions in Writing February 14, 2023 Official Response to Questions Posted on the ESBD February 15, 2023 Expected Notice of Intent to Award March 8-9, 2023 Expected Contract Start Date March 14-17, 2023 Respondents who did not attend a site visit under original bid IFB 808-23-230356 as part of the original bidding process must meet with the site manager and become thoroughly familiar with the existing conditions and requirements before submitting a bid. Signatures are required by both the site representative and respondent when the site visit is completed to establish the date that the site visit took place. Exhibit E, Site Visit Form, must be included in Respondent's Bid. Bids will be rejected if a signed site visit form is not included. All inquiries must be submitted in writing by the date listed as the deadline for submission of questions as specified in Section 3.1 listed in the IFB. Questions and answers will be posted on the ESBD website as specified in Section 3.1 listed in the IFB. Bids exceeding $25,000.00 must be accompanied by a bid security in the form of an original bid bond, certified check or cashier's check drawn to the order of the Texas Historical Commission for not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the Bid (including total of all alternate bid items). Therefore, to ensure adequate bid security, Bidders should calculate bid security based on the highest possible monetary award. Personal checks, company check and cash are not acceptable as bid security. Bids will be rejected if bid security is not furnished in the form specified and if not included with your submitted bid.
