Engineering Services for ny Dams. The Bureau of Water and Sewer Operations (BWSO) is responsible for managing and maintaining dam safety program for two in-city reservoir dams. The purpose of the RFP is to supplement in-house staff in maintaining existing Dam Safety Program and provide engineering support as needed to remain in compliance with the NYSDEC Dam Safety Regulations. It is anticipated that the term of the contract awarded from this RFP will be for 1826 consecutive calendar days. The contract services will include specific tasks such as but not limited to: Dam's monthly inspections, biennial safety inspections(every 2 years), annual certifications, annual review of dam emergency action plans, and inspection and maintenance plans for each facility.Design of corrective easure services as requested by department for any deficient conditions which may identify during inspections to maintain dam in compliance.Specific design discipline support for dam safety projects during the construction phase to include review of submittals, answering request for information (RFI) processes, and field support.Multi-disciplinary independent quality technical reviews of designs performed by in house staff.Monitoring services/ evaluation for any related structural stability factors.Surveying.Hydraulic modelling.Sustainability review support services,Computer aided design and drafting (CADD) and Geographic Information System (GIS) support.Public outreach support .
