This Request for Bid (RFB) is an invitation by the Government of Saskatchewan (GOS) to prospective Proponents to provide Submissions for the provision of the supply and installation of Airport Automated Weather Observation Systems (AWOS). Procuring and installing Automated Weather Observation Systems (AWOS) equipment helps align with the Ministry of Highways (MoH) mission to provide a safe, reliable transportation system that supports Saskatchewan's growth agenda and quality of life. The AWOS will improve air traffic safety by giving aircraft operators a better understanding of the weather conditions in the vicinity of the MoH owned Airports. There have been recent AWOS installations at two Ministry-owned airports including Wollaston Lake Airport (CZWL) and Fond-du-Lac Airport (CZFD). The MoH expects that the proposed AWOS will match the standards and specifications of two (2) existing systems. The Ministry is expecting the materials for five (5) AWOS systems in Northern Saskatchewan to be ordered and delivered in 2022/2023 with the installation of the systems to be completed by March 31, 2024.
