Renovation of a clubhouse / community center in Washington Township, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a clubhouse / community center.
Upon request, the Engineer will furnish prospective bidders with Bid documents. Informational copies may be examined by others. The Owner will consider only those proposals received from parties who have obtained Bidding Documents directly from the Owner's Engineer/Engineer. Bidding Documents are not transferable to other parties for bidding purposes. Each proposal bid must be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check for not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid, of which, the amount of the bond or certified check need not exceed $20,000, made payable to the Township of Mantua. Consent of Surety and Power of Attorney is required for the Performance Bond. The successful bidder will be required to furnish, within ten (10) days after the award, a Surety Corporation Performance Bond or Letter of Credit equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. All applicable surety bonds or LOC required must be written by a surety company listed on the Federal Treasury List (Department Circular 570-Surety Companies Acceptable on Federal Bonds) and such surety company must be acceptable to the Township Administrator and authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey. All bids must be submitted on the bid form prepared in the specifications and sealed in an envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder on the outside and referencing the particular work bid upon. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of P.L. 1975, C.127, N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27-1 et seq. Each bid and shall be addressed to the Mantua Township Clerk. The Township of Mantua reserves the right to reject any and all bids, either in whole or in part and also to waive any informality in any bid or bids so received. Construction of two separate exterior masonry and wood frame, vinyl sided shear walls. Construction of new interior steel columns, on concrete footings. Construction of new glue-laminated beams and wood truss repairs. Demolition and disposal of existing asphalt shingle roof, flashing, gutters, downspouts, and vinyl soffits. Demolition of existing board sheathing and fascia boards. To the extent possible, existing components shall be reinstalled in the course of construction, and re-activated. Construction of new plywood sheathing, new asphalt shingle roof, flashings, underlayment and other components to provide a complete, weather proof roof. New aluminum soffits. Restoration of all disturbed insulation, drop ceiling, and attic ventilation. Restoration of all disturbed concrete floor and floor coverings. Painting new exposed columns. New acoustic ceiling around new beams.
