Renovation of an educational facility in Ashland, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 1,400-square-foot educational facility.

The project generally includes removal and replacement of approximately 1,400 sq. ft. of existing roofing, decking and wood joists and all associated work for A-C Central High School as shown on drawings and herein specified. All work shall be substantially complete before May 31, 2023, or later as approved by Owner. Bids shall include: 1.Properly completed Proposal Form in duplicate. 2.Bid Deposit in the amount of 10% of Bid. 3.Not less than the prevailing hourly wage rate as determined by the Illinois Department of Labor pursuant to Illinois Revised Statutes, Ch. 489, Sec. 39s-1 et. seq. All Bidders are advised that all work of this Contract shall be subject to the provisions of the "Illinois Prevailing Wage Act". Prevailing wage rates have been determined and are on file at the Office of the State of Illinois Department of Labor, telephone (217) 782-6206. All Bidders shall submit and enclose with their bid a notarized certification that the Contractor is not barred from bidding on the Contract as a result of a violation of either Section 33 E-3 or 33 E-4 of Article 33E, Public Act 85-1295 (Senate Bill 2002) effective January 1, 1989. Certification is located in the Proposal Form, Section 00300, of this Project Manual. Bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond in the amount of 10% of Bid, made payable to the A-C Central C.U.S.D. #262. Failure of Bidders to submit bid bond or cashier's check in the amount of 10% of the bid shall be cause for rejection of bid. Successful Bidder will be required to provide Surety Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each equal to 100% of the Contract cost on prescribed forms within ten (10) days after notice of acceptance is issued by Owner. Surety on bond shall be by a duly authorized U. S. Treasury Backed company licensed to do business in the State of Illinois, acceptable to Owner. The Board of Education for A-C Central C.U.S.D. #262 reserves the right to reject any or all bids and reserves the right to waive any irregularity in bidding, which in their considered opinion is warranted. No bid shall be withdrawn for sixty (60) days after opening of bids without written consent of the Owner.
