Proposals must be sealed in an envelope on which it is clearly stated "Bid for Construction of an Accessory Storage Garage Facility" and shall be addressed to Douglas C. Box 221, Stony Point, New York 10980 or by express mail to: 103 North Liberty, Stony Point, New York 10980 and received by him by either method prior to 5:00 p.m. on November 16, 2022 or delivered to him personally prior to 8:00 p.m. on November 16, 2022 at the firehouse located at 25 North Liberty Drive, Stony Point, New York. Bids will be publicly opened and read on November 16, 2022 at 8:00 p.m. at the firehouse located at 25 North Liberty Drive, Stony Point, New York. All bid specification inquires shall be directed to the Owners representative George Thamsen, (914) 263-4852 The work shall be bid and awarded as separate contracts for each of the following trades. Excavation, Carpentry (including framing, roofing, doors), Plumbing, Electrical and Painting The Owner will be the General Contractor. A Bid Bond (A.I.A. Document A310 or equivalent) in the amount of at least five (5%) of the base bid must accompany each bid. A full performance bond, together with labor and material payment bonds, in form acceptable to owner shall be required of the successful Bidder. Bids shall be submitted in sealed envelopes at the Fire District address and shall bear on the face thereof the name and address of the Bidder. All bids must be submitted on forms furnished by the Stony Point Fire District, in accordance with the specifications and instructions to Bidders. The contract for the above item(s) will be awarded by the Board of Fire Commissioners to the lowest responsible bidder. In cases where two or more responsible Bidders submit identical bids as to price, the Board of Fire Commissioners may award the contract to either of such bidders. The Board of Fire Commissioners reserves the right to reject all bids and re-advertise for new bids in its discretion and/or to waive any informality in any bid which it deems immaterial in nature.
