Site work, paving, outdoor lighting, new construction and renovation of a mixed-use development in Laredo, Texas. Design plans call for the renovation of a 32,000-square-foot, 14-room, 10,000-seat stadium; for the construction of a 44,500-square-foot warehouse / distribution facility; for site work for a warehouse / distribution facility; for outdoor lighting for a stadium; and for paving for a stadium.

The Sames Auto Arena has 32,000 square feet of continuous open floor space, making it the largest indoor convention venue in South Texas. The 178,000-squarefoot building has a seating capacity of 10,000, including 14 luxury suites, six meeting rooms, and a private club. The luxury suites feature concierge service, a TV, and seating for 12 to 14 people, along with other amenities. Located on the same level, the club area includes a bar with views of the main floor. Renovations to the entire facility (both interior and exterior) will cover all suites, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, concourse flooring, public access areas, the sound and video room, and parking lot enhancements. Phase I This phase will involve the redesign of the building’s exterior envelope, renovation of 14 box suites on the club level, and a redesign of the club-level bar. Temporary accessory bars will be converted into permanent ones, similar to those on the concourse level. The club-level circulation area and restrooms (four in total: two for men and two for women) will be renovated. Additionally, all interior gypsum walls and ceilings on the club level will be repainted. Showers and restrooms in the locker areas (three in total) will also be renovated. Three-star suites will be updated, and a storage room will be converted into a catering room. Power will be added for aisle seat lighting, and VIP areas will be created in two existing meeting rooms. The four temporary bars on the concourse level will be redesigned, and two Attitude Suites will also be revamped. Phase II This phase will include the installation of chair lifts at three stairwells to ensure ADA access to permanent seating. It will also involve revising the slabs for new ADA-compliant seating areas. Also, renovation of the entrance vestibules, along with four side entrance vestibules. The concourse restrooms will be redesigned, with updates to four men's restrooms, four women's restrooms, and two unisex restrooms. Parking lot improvements will be made, alongside upgrades to the storm sewer system and enhancements to the Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan. Miscellaneous site improvements will be carried out, including new signage, striping, and traffic control measures. Finally, all interior gypsum walls and ceilings on the concourse level will be repainted. Phase III This phase will include the installation of WOW lighting and exterior LED facade lighting systems. The lobby and concourse circulation areas will be redesigned for improved flow. Both interior and exterior lighting, as well as site lighting (excluding arena and light poles), will be updated, with a focus on lighting heads only. The entire fire alarm system will be replaced with a new one, and preventative maintenance will be performed on electrical equipment. Air curtains will be added at the loading dock. The rear stage wall will be replaced with new perforated metal panels, and all railings inside the bowl area will be repainted. Phase IV Construction of a New Climate-controlled storage warehouse (44,500 square feet). This project is included in the city's fy 2026-2030 Capital Improvement Program. As of March 23,2026, the design firm has been selected. The construction document completion timeline has not been released. A tentative bid schedule for contractors has not been disclosed.
