Site work and new construction of a recreation facility in Toronto, Ontario. Completed plans call for the construction of a 2,400-square-foot, one-story above grade recreation facility; and for site work for a recreation facility.
The Zoo currently has three (3) Wildebeest. During the winter, they must stay inside to be out of the cold; consequently, they are not viewable by the guests. The Designer-Builder will be required to design and build a Wildebeest Building which will serve as a holding barn where the Wildebeest can stay warm during the cold months but still be in view of the guests. Guests will be able to observe our Wildebeest through a covered viewing shelter, accessible from the public road. BUILDING ENVELOPE: Note: The scope for this project shall be focused on the building itself. The following work will be assessed outside the scope of work: - Any work associated with connections to services (water/power/sanitary) external to the building envelope; - Any work pertaining to site grading and soil retention; and - All external fencing and security. The term of the agreement is to be for a period of nine (9) months ending July 2023 followed by a two (2) year warranty period.
