Reference Number : 1657685 Deadline for receipt of complaints: 2022-11-10 John Abbott College is planning to install a backflow preventer at Brittain Hall Pavilion on the campus in Saint-Anne-de-Bellevue. The main domestic water system is owned and operated by McGill University. The aim of this project is to: - Provide backflow prevention and protection valve assemblies between the 6-inch campus domestic water line and the building water systems (for fire and domestic use) in the basement of Brittain Hall to prevent cross-contamination of the campus domestic water line and building water systems. - Modify the existing fire system and building domestic water system to comply with applicable fire codes. - Access to the McGill University section of the building is restricted due to the presence of hazardous materials (asbestos). Therefore, decontamination must be completed prior to the start of construction. awrd is subject to final approval.
