First of three sets of trail projects for Bountiful City to be bid fall 2022 for construction in 2023. Set A: Work of this Construction Contract includes construction of trails on public lands managed by the United States Forest Service in the Mueller Park - North Canyon area near the south end of Bountiful City, Utah. Total trail mileage estimated at 3.0 miles (additional alternate trail would add 1.1 miles). All trails are to be Class 3 according to the US Forest Service Trail Classifications, built for use by hikers and mountain bikers. Set B, also in Mueller Park (about 8 miles of trails). Bid invitation will be issued separately. Set C, on Bountiful City property (about 10 miles of trails). Bid invitation anticipated to be issued early November 2022. A description of the work anticipated is included in Section 01 11 00, Summary of Work.The work to be performed generally consists of mobilizing equipment, clearing pathways, removing vegetation, preparing surface, grading, constructing rock structures as needed, constructing turns and berms, and restoration of slopes for erosion control.
