The City of Hughson is looking to Improve the Front corner, on Pine and 4th Street, of the City Hall property. Also, to replant trees along both sides of Fox Rd. The two-line items to be bid separately and may be looked at as separate projects or based upon total pricing for both. Scopes are as described below. All requirements and restrictions, listed below the scopes, apply to both scopes of work. 1) The contractor shall remove the upper east side flower bed curb. There are no plans to use this area.
Artificial grass will come up to the building on this side.
2) The contractor is responsible for any curb repair or replacement at both ends of the project area.
3) The contractor shall grade the areas, both north side and east side, to the sidewalk level all around. Also grade for reasonable transition at both sides of the Sheriff's entrance ramp.
4) The Contractor shall remove the existing flagpole and provide and install a new 40'0" brushed aluminum replacement flagpole in the same location.
5) Once the project area is graded, the contractor shall pour the base for the new concrete Police sign in the front corner of the project area. Drawing is attached. Have 3" above ground which will make it 15" tall.
6) The contractor shall cap off sprinkler valves and remove all sprinklers from the project areas.
7) The contractor shall provide a new underground watering system for the existing trees on the project area.
8) If the smaller existing trees need to be replaced, the contractor shall supply and plant replacements. Underground watering will be provided to those also.
9) The contractor shall perform all proper sub-grade work to accommodate artificial grass.
10) The contractor shall install high quality artificial grass throughout project area approximately 1800 square feet. Amount to be verified by the contractors at the bid walk through.
11) The contractor shall be responsible to provide all materials, labor and equipment needed to complete this scope.
12) The contractor understands that all "on-site" labor will be done at prevailing wage rates
13) The contractor shall be responsible for the proper disposal of any project waste.
14) The contractor shall be responsible for the protection of any materials or equipment left on site during non-working hours.
15) The contractor shall be responsible for any required building permits and inspections. Permit fees will be waived by the City.
16) The contractor shall provide their DIR number, proof of insurance and W-9 per City requirements.
17) According to contracting law, the contractor shall provide payment and performance bonds on work totaling $25k or more. Required Contractor's License(s): Under Public Contract Code section 3300 and Business and Professions Code section 7028.15(e), the City of Hughson requires that the contractor possess a valid Class A, B, or a C-27 contractor's license at the time that the contract is awarded. Failure to possess the specified license will render the bid non-responsive and will bar the award of the contract to any bidder not possessing such license at the time of the award.
