Rehabilitation of the Canada Malting Co. (CMC) North Silos, Located 5 Eireann Quay, Toronto. This call is an invitational call to the following pre-qualified Suppliers that have pre-qualified from RFSQ 3907-19-5020 dated April 8,2019 for New Construction, Renovation and Restoration of City Owned Buildings and Properties from a Project Value of $500,000 up to $6,000,000, to submit bids for the performance of the Work, as further described in Part 3 (DRAWINGS AND SPECIFICATIONS) and the Contract. Work of this Contract for the north silo exterior rehabilitation of the Canada Malting Company silos, which is located at 5 Eireann Quay, Toronto. The scope of work generally includes the following: .1 Install modular security fence (south and north silos) and other protection measures. .2 Clean garbage/debris and loose materials/equipment/articles/artifacts (subject to the review and approval of the heritage consultant) on North silo roofs and elevations to accommodate foundation wall waterproofing and west, north, east and south elevation concrete repair. .3 Foundation wall waterproofing on the west, north, east and south elevation and related works. .4 Concrete wall repair north silo elevations up to roof 1. .5 Carefully remove/store existing exterior artifacts, windows/doors and structures that have heritage values as confirmed on site by the heritage consultants. The removal work should be performed by a qualified heritage subcontractor. .6 Basement interior cleaning. .7 Concrete silo wall repair for the remaining elevations. .8 Cap all windows/doors with plywood panels. .9 Interior electrical work. .10 Installation of grated catwalk (bridge) to connect North and South Silo. .11 Installation of AODA compliant ramp in the basement of North Silo. .12 Reinstallation of existing artifacts above the Silo portal. .13 Installation of stair access at North elevation of North Silo. .14 Miscellaneous works per drawings, specifications, reports and contract documents as necessary to complete the project. .15 Coordinate the staged construction with City and provide detailed working plan and schedule for City's approval at least 2 weeks prior to on site mobilization.
