Island County Public Works (Agency) is soliciting Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from consulting firms (CONSULTANT) who wish to be considered to provide professional services to Island County. Consulting firms will be evaluated for conducting a comprehensive study and recommendation of countermeasures to reduce collisions associated with lane departures traveling through horizontal curves. The study will provide a detailed recommendation and cost estimate of suggested countermeasures for each curve evaluated. The recommendation must be suitable for presentation to elected officials providing consistent and unbiased determinations. Professional services rendered by any person, contracting to perform activities within the scope of the general definition of professional practice per RCW 18.43 must have Professional Registration (or other appropriate license) in the State of Washington and must be registered as a company/ firm licensed to perform "engineering services" in the State of Washington.
