The Hampton Redevelopment and Housing Authority (herein after called "HRHA") a political subdivision of the Commonwealth of Virginia operating within the City of Hampton, is soliciting proposals from qualified firms to provide consulting services for Actuarial Review of the HRHA's Other Postemployment Benefits (OPEB) Obligation. Hampton Redevelopment & Housing Authority (HRHA) is requesting qualified Service Providers to submit proposals including a pricing schedule and a summary of qualifications for providing janitorial services according to HRHA's specification and all other terms and conditions. The requested services consist of furnishing all labor, materials, supplies and equipment to perform Janitorial Services at 1 S Armistead Ave, Hampton VA 23669, in accordance with the specifications and conditions specified in the Request for Proposal issued by HRHA Property owned by HRHA located at 1 S Armistead Ave, Hampton VA, 23669. Office building is 2 stories high, stairs only. Fee schedules or quotes should be placed in a separate envelope, sealed and marked to indicate the firm's name, and included with the proposal. Electronic transmissions will not be accepted. * Proposals received prior to the due date will be securely kept, unopened. No proposal will be received after the designated time and date. Should HRHA close earlier than normal hours due to uncontrolled events such as fire, snow, ice, wind, or building evacuation, proposals will be accepted by 4:00 p.m. on the next business day of HRHA. At the designated time and date, HRHA will open and list the proposals for the record. This is not a public opening. The proposals will then be forwarded to the designated Evaluation Committee for review. Questions concerning this RFP shall be directed to Tammy Emerson, Chief Housing Officer, and shall be e-mailed to temerson@hamptonrha.com. It shall be the responsibility of the sender to verify receipt of all emails. HRHA shall not be responsible for missed emails. All questions must be submitted by 4:00 p.m., Thursday, February 16, 2023, and both the question(s) and answer(s) will be shared with everyone HRHA knows is interested in responding to this RFP. The period of performance shall be for one (1) year with a provision to extend, at HRHA's sole and absolute discretion. This contract may be renewed by exercising additional one-year options for a maximum contract term of five (5) years. Written notice of HRHA's intention to renew shall be given approximately sixty (60) days prior to expiration date of each contract period. The intent and purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to enter into a firm-fixed price contract with a qualified, experienced, licensed and bonded firm with five or more years' experience cleaning commercial or office buildings. The selected firm will furnish all supervision, labor, materials, supplies, equipment, and services necessary to provide complete janitorial services for Hampton Redevelopment and Housing Authority (HRHA) Section 8 Office located at 1 S Armistead Ave, Hampton, Virginia. The contract will be for one year with the option to renew four (4) additional years at the Authority's sole discretion. This work will include all Janitorial Services for the approximately 9,500 sq. ft. building, all 21 Offices, four (4) Bathrooms, one (1) Conference Rooms, three (3) Common Spaces, two (2) Kitchens, all Corridors and Entryway. In accepting a contract, the Contractor will agree to perform work 2 days a week and accept all orders for cleaning services placed under this contract during its existence and abide by the specifications listed herein and with the stated terms and conditions. Exclusions: All Server Rooms/Communication Closets and the Mechanical/Electrical Room will be maintained by the Authority IT or designated personnel only.
