Site work for a playground / park / athletic field in Norwood, Massachusetts. Conceptual plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.
Scope of services includes Phase #1 - design development, cost estimates, final design and bid documents as well as bid evaluation/recommendation and award of construction contract(s). Phase #2 - construction administration, including review and approval of change orders/requests for information and closeout. The total fee for both phases is not to exceed $180,000. Proposers shall submit an original and three (3) copies of the proposal and one (1) electronic version on CD or thumb drive. The selected proposer will be required to be currently registered in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a landscape architect or civil engineer, and shall have proven experience in public bid construction work as well as experience working alongside conservation property. Responsibilities and duties shall be as outlined in the Scope of Service and otherwise comply with the Massachusetts General Law Chapter 30B. A Designer Selection Board form must be submitted with the proposal. Questions can be directed to Catherine Carney at CCarney@norwoodma.gov or by calling (781) 762-1240, ext. 6036. The Town of Norwood shall have the right to reject any and all proposals or parts thereof, or items therein, and to waive any defect of irregularities as to form, therein in accordance with MGL. The Town of Norwood notifies all participants that minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit proposals in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, creed, sex or national origin or handicapped status in consideration for an award The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
