Site work for a water / sewer project in Somersworth, New Hampshire. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Replacement of undersized and over 100-year old pipe (approximately 2600 ft) under Indigo Hill Road between Main Street and Rita Road, and under River Street between Indigo and Buffumsville Roads. This was ranked as the No. 2 distribution system improvement priority in the Wright-Pierce distribution system evaluation completed in Feb. 2013. This will upgrade the water main from a 100+ year old 6" main to a new 12-inch main. These segments of road were resurfaced in FY2020, but will be removed from the excavation moratorium by FY2023. As of November 2, 2022, this project included in the City of Somersworth FY 2023-2028 and funding is allocated for FY 25 and FY 26. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change. The content management team will continue to pursue additional details as they become available.
