Each Bid shall be submitted on a form furnished by the Engineer, and must be accompanied in a separate sealed envelope by Bid Security in the form of a Cashier's Check or Certified Check drawn on a solvent Iowa Bank, or a Bid Bond executed by a corporation authorized to act as surety in the State of Iowa. Bid Security shall be in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of the Bid, made payable to Wayne County, Iowa. Bid Security shall be forfeited to the Board of Supervisors as liquidated damages in the event the successful Bidder fails or refuses to enter into a Contract and furnish Bond, as specified, satisfactory to the Board of Supervisors, assuring the faithful fulfilment of the Contract and the payment of all just claims, within ten (10) days after acceptance of the Bid. Wayne County Courthouse HVAC System Improvements Project Address: Wayne County Courthouse 100 North Lafayette Street Corydon, IA 50060 This Project consists of replacing the existing HVAC systems serving the Wayne County Courthouse Building. A new variable refrigerant flow system shall be installed with a dedicated outdoor air system air handling unit providing ventilation to the building and terminal units providing heating and cooling. General construction work to accommodate installation of new HVAC equipment and electrical work to support new HVAC equipment shall be included in the project scope, along with all other work indicated in the Contract Documents. Project Substantially Complete: June 28, 2024. Project Final Completion: Work shall be fully completed by July 26, 2024
