Renovation of an educational facility in Salt Lake City, Utah. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

It is the exclusive right of GSD to choose any, all or none of any requested alternates. Terms and conditions are nonnegotiable. Any questions regarding terms and conditions are to be submitted prior to IFB due date. Attempts to take exception to any terms and conditions will render the bid nonresponsive. Any additional terms or conditions submitted by the bidder will be discarded, will not be considered and will not become a part of any contract that results from this IFB. GSD reserves the right to award to award to the next low bidder if for any reason the low bid is not responsive, is withdrawn, rejected, disqualified or the bidder fails to perform. A person with an outstanding tax lien in the state of Utah may not submit a quote, bid or offer. A bid that is not responsive includes a bid that: 1. is conditional; 2. attempts to modify the bid requirements; 3. contains additional terms or conditions; or 4. fails to conform with the requirements or specifications of the invitation for bids. A bid that is submitted by a bidder who is not responsible includes a bid where Granite School District concludes that the bidder or an employee, agent, or subcontractor of the bidder, at any tier, is unable to satisfactorily fulfill the bid requirements. Granite School District trash cans and dumpsters may not be used by the contractor or by sub-contractors without specific permission by Granite School District. Any necessary grading, if any is associated with this bid, must be done with equipment that is GPS equipped. Granite School District will reject a bid if the bid is not responsive or the bid is submitted by a bidder who is not responsible. 1. Scope of Work - The following is a brief overview of the Scope of Work for Bid Packet No. 2: 1.1. Replacement of Pumps - The condenser and primary chilled water pumps are to replaced per the plans and specifications. Due to the extensive lead time for delivery, the pumps have been ordered, and will be Owner Provided and Contractor Installed. In addition, the variable frequency drives (VFDs) are also Owner Provided and Contractor Installed. 1.2. Cooling Tower Overhaul - The custom-built cooling towersystem isto refurbished and upgraded to conform to the present design conditions and loading. The plans and specifications provide the specific information for the upgrade of the existing system. 1.3. Building Automation System (BAS) - The plans and specifications provide the specific information for the upgrade of the existing system. 1.4. Project Note: The District has a dedicated Data Center, located in the Central Plant (same building as where chillers are located), that is required to maintain continuous 24/7 operation. The Data Center uses an air-cooled chiller CH-3 to supply CHW for cooling. The CHW water loop is tied to the campus CHW loop to provide backup cooling if required. The contractor must isolate the Data Center CHW loop, from the campus CHW loop, to ensure continuous cooling to the Data Center is maintained. Questions - All questions related to the project must be submitted to U3P (Utah Public Procurement Place) the bid service used by Granite School District.
