This Request for Supplier Qualifications ("RFSQ") is an invitation by the Town of Oakville to prospective respondents to qualify for eligibility to assist in the installation/termination and repair of inside plant cabling within the Town of Oakville and its facilities as further described in Section A of the RFSQ Particulars (Appendix A) (the "Deliverables"). Only those proponents submitting a response to this RFP will have the opportunity to be listed. Selection to the list does not provide any guarantee of assignments. The town, in its sole discretion, may increase or decrease the number of consultants added to the pre-qualified list, throughout the term of the engagement. The Vendor of Record is governed by the Town of Oakville's Procurement Policy By-law and corresponding procedures. The vendor of records is one of a variety of methods that the town will utilize for obtaining services. Vendor Record undertakings are limited to assignments not exceeding $200,000 exclusive of HST. The purpose of this pre-qualification is to create a list of pre-qualified IT Service Specialists Contractors (the Pre-Qualified Contractor List), all of whom demonstrate a satisfactory level of experience, qualifications and capability. The creation and maintenance of the list establishes a quality control standard for the Town in relation to inside plant cabling. The Pre-Qualified Contractor List shall be comprised of a minimum three (3) pre-qualified contractors, and will be in place for a period of three (3) years with the option of two (2) one (1) year extension periods (at The Town's sole discretion). The List will be privy to Requests for Quotations (RFQs) and Request for Tenders (RFTs) for upcoming cabling related projects with construction budgets between $25,000 and $200,000 (excluding HST).
