Renovation of a museum in Chester, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a museum.
The Chester Historical Society, the Awarding Authority, requests bids for the rehabilitation of the former Methodist Chapel including 15 windows and interior finishes of the second floor and 14 feet of sill replacement. The project is being partly funded with a grant from the Massachusetts Preservation Projects Fund through the Massachusetts Historical Commission. All work shall be performed in accordance with the documents prepared by Jeffrey Scott Penn, Architect, and meet the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for the treatment of Historic Properties. State law prohibits discrimination. Awarding of this contract is subject to Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity guidelines Bids shall be evaluated on the basis of price, previous experience with similar types of construction projects, ability to perform the work in a timely manner and references. The project completion deadline is 30 June 2023. Estimated Budget: $65,000 to $82,000 Questions shall be emailed to ( John Garvey at johngarvey107@gmail.com and cc Jeff Penn at jspsed@verizon.net ) with the subject line indicating Chester History Museum and sent prior to 1pm on Wednesday, 23 November 2022. All addenda and answers to questions shall be emailed to all recorded bidders.
