The Jefferson County Commission is accepting sealed proposals for the replacement of two roofs located at the Jefferson County Animal Control facility Direct your questions to Laura Kuhn, Director of Fleet & Facilities Management at LKuhn@jeffersoncountywv.org . No performance bond is required for this project. The successful Bidder must show evidence of professional liability insurance coverage in the amount of one million ($1,000,000) dollars, with a minimum coverage of one million ($1,000,000) dollars per occurrence and one million ($1,000,000) dollars aggregate and must include coverage for errors, omissions and negligent acts, prior to execution of a contract with Jefferson County. Jefferson County reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals, to waive technicalities, and to take whatever action is in the best interest of the Jefferson County Commission. Consideration will only be given to written responses to this RFP. All materials submitted shall become part of the proposal. The Jefferson County Commission invites qualified firms to submit price proposals for all labor and materials needed for the replacement of two roofs for the Animal Control facilities located at 161 Poor Farm Road,
Kearneysville, WV 25430. The first roof is on the Animal Control Kennel Facility (Kennel). The second roof is on the house adjacent to the kennel (House). II. SCOPE
1. Remove existing shingle roofing, metal edgings, flashings, etc. down to the wood deck.
2. Replace any deteriorated or damaged wood decking.
3. Install ice and water shield to all eave areas and where needed.
4. Install felt underlayment over all remaining roof areas
5. Install drip edgings where needed.
6. Install starter shingles.
7. Install 30-year Architectural shingles.
8. Install flashing where needed.
9. Replace vents where needed.
10. Replace gutters and downspouts where needed.
11. Clean up and remove all debris caused by this work.
12. Remove chimney and sheet over. (House roof only)
