This Request for Supplier Qualifications is an invitation by the Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board to prospective respondents to qualify for eligibility to perform Mechanical Contracting Services for various renovation and improvement projects contemplated by the Board. Category 1 construction projects will have an estimated Mechanical value of $175,000 or less. For example, if the Mechanical Contractor is listed as the prime contractor in the bid document, the total value of the project will be estimated at $175,000 or less. Or if the Mechanical Contractor is listed as the subcontractor in the bid document, the total value of the project will be estimated at $500,000 or less. These projects will consist at a minimum of, but not limited to, general repairs, maintenance, plumbing work and small renovation projects. Category 2 construction projects will have an estimated Mechanical value of $175,001 - $2,000,000. For example, if the Mechanical Contractor is listed as the prime contractor in the bid document, the total value of the project will be estimated at $175,001 - $2,000,000. Or if the Mechanical Contractor is listed as the subcontractor in the bid document, the total value of the project will be estimated at $175,001 - $3,000,000. These projects will consist at a minimum, but not limited to, mid to large size projects such as, major accessibility projects, structural repairs, a combination of interior and exterior renovations and additions and HVAC and boiler replacements or upgrades.
